Psychological support is a particularly important part of the holistic care provided by the PALLADION Centre to the patient. The Centre’s experienced psychologist undertakes to support patients and their family members, starting with the important first steps of acceptance and adjustment to their new situation. The PALLADION Centre psychologist also acts in an advisory capacity for the staff at the Centre on the best approach to managing each patient.
The services include help with the following:
- dealing with crises
- management of anxiety and phobias stemming from the condition
- dealing with depression
- creating incentives for more active participation of the patient in their therapy programme
The sessions with the psychologist help patients to feel more positive and gradually return to a more active social life.
